Dr. Erika Heard is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive training in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry. She completed her medical education at Duke University and residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Her approach is holistic and humanistic, recognizing the importance of addressing biological, psychological, and social factors in mental health care. Dr. Heard believes in collaboration and views her role as helping you achieve your highest quality of life.
Dr. Heard specializes in treating patients aged 18 and older, with a particular focus on the geriatric population (65+ years). Her expertise includes managing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with dementia in elderly patients.
